Chosen Solution The 8 GB of RAM is I believed soldered in, can it be changed and upgraded to 16 GB or higher. Sadly this series has solder RAM so you can’t upgrade the RAM chips Your only option is to replace the logic board which has more RAM installed which is quite expensive!
Chosen Solution Mac Mini 2018 - I installed ram today, no power…double checked everything, no power. Install was smooth, no hiccups, no missed steps signs of stress nor damage. Thinking issue had to be the ram, put the old ram in and the mini now only gives a quick spurt of the fan, then off…rinse and repeat. Can’t image what I did or any damage caused. I was able to get passed the firmware password after a RAM upgrade to 4GB. I repartitioned, reformatted the 160GB HD, and installed OSX 10.6.8. I’ve also reset the SMC, NVRAM, ran virus scan, and repaired disk permissions and the imac is still crawling!...

Chosen Solution Is there a way to take off the front glass ONLY? With the S4 the front glass was ONLY attached to a cable for the buttons on the bottom. For the S5 there are connectors and copper attached to the glass. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this doesn’t help, then try attaching the laptop to a working external monitor via a cable. If the external monitor works, then use it to go to Device Manager and uninstall and reinstall the video drivers. If your original screen stays black, then you have isolated the problem to the LCD panel assembly....

Chosen Solution I replace the battery following the instructions on this site. Now my GPS does not work. I have opened it up again and checked for any obvious signs of damage or loose connections. No luck. Everything else works great. Does anyone know where the gps or the gps antenna is located? Perhaps you accidentally popped off the spring contact from the main board. I had done this myself and had to search for quite a while to finds out the antenna locations in the phone....
