Chosen Solution Will replacing the motherboard fix the Surface Pro 3 LCD backlight problem? It’s possible that your replacement screen is a dud too. Connect your Surface to an external monitor and see if anything shows up. Update (11/24/2018) Sounds like you scored a deal! Now you have spare parts for your surface if something else breaks. Hopefully a motherboard swap solves your problem.

I plugged it in and kept it plugged for awhile by accident(prob 2-3 weeks) and I replaced my screen and it won’t turn on? Chosen Solution My car used to kick when switching gears usually from 1st to 2nd gear and then to 3rd. But now my check engine light turned on, maintenance light blinks and the d4 light blinks. Chosen Solution Awhile back I bought a Kingspec SSD (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RV...), but I’m getting around to installing it now. I can’t find any documentation for it and I don’t want to plug it in until I know what to set it to. Should I maybe just experiment or would that short something out? If there is documentation, where? The Dell BIOS on these is usually good enough to autosense with all of the drives in auto - which is what these are fixed to at the hardware level....
