Chosen Solution Dear iFixit Reader, I have a cracked screen on my 27” A1419 from 2019 : the panel sticker reads “LM270QQ1 (SD)(C1)” by “LG Display”. eBay has too many sellers. Many refusing to answer the simple question of whether “Is your panel by LG Display AND if not will it deliver the SAME color performance and image display speed as my broken LG panel? So, I am asking the iFixit Community IF anyone knows of an HONEST retailer....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I just bought EMC 2389 iMac for dirt cheap on eBay and it’s glorious! Perfect condition and little to no yellow tint! Apart from being noisy, the HDD in combination with the other hardware seems to be some sort of a bottle neck… I’ve already learned that I would need some sort of thermal sensor cable if mine was a 2011 model… my question is, what parts exactly do I need to replace the HDD for anSSD and eliminate the HDD altogether… and what SSD would you recommend?...

Chosen Solution My IPad Pro took a static shock I believe and now it won’t take a charge through the USB-C. The iPad worked perfectly in every other way until it ran out of juice. I took it to a local repair place which sent it in to somewhere. They checked something and said since it wasn’t that, they couldn’t fix it. I’m sure I should be able to replace whatever that part is and it should be back to fully functional....

I’ve recently swapped the logic board of my beat up space grey iPhone 5S into my shiny new gold 5S, with no issues whatsoever, except that my home button no longer works. I’ve swapped it with 3 other touch ID / home button’s that I have lying around (I work in a repair shop) and nothing has worked. The home button is unresponsive, and touch ID doesn’t work either....

Chosen Solution I’ve been searching everywhere to find something that could help me with my last 5 screws. I’m having to be extra cautious because if I get them wrong I will ruin the phone entirely. Chosen Solution The rear camera lens on the 6s has a small crack in it. The camera works fine and so far it does not seem to i,pact picture quality. I was wondering if there was a way to replace this cover?? Chosen Solution I buyed used iphone 6S and it was on factory settings. Now i try to activate it, and it says only DEVICE UNKNOWN after wifi set. I replaced charging port and it still wont charge. When i try to put sim-card it only flashes the pincode settings and then disappears. And i cant go recovery mode, because phone does not recognize lightning cable. What i can do? Chances are the phone has a baseband circuit fault on the logic board....

Chosen Solution Hello. I have an iPhone 7 which is having problems with a quick battery drain. The phone charges fine up to 100%. Phone draws .8 to 1 amp on the Ammeter. However, after leaving the phone unplugged overnight, the battery drains to almost 0%. On opening the phone, there does not appear to be any water damage. Chosen Solution After formatting my iPhone 5s for selling, I went to the normal front page for setting it up. As normal I did the setup, but then when the activation page came it loaded for a while and then the message ‘iphone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached’ comes up. I tried retrying for a long time but no luck. Besides as found from the web to connect to iTunes and restore/update, I followed those steps too but still the same thing comes....

Chosen Solution My brother dropped/threw my ps4 at around 4 foot , it landed on flat floor. I was hoping to try and fix it as i can not afford a new one, the back of the ps4 is where the most of the damage has happened. Chosen Solution I replaced the battery of my iPhone 6S. It had 75% max cap. and my question is if it is possible to get under 100% after a battery replacement cause I don’t want to replace it again. Max capacity will always deplete over time. The aftermarket batteries will drain and deplete faster so make sure to get the battery replaced from a reputable store or buy a good quality battery....
