Chosen Solution After factory reset I didnt find my files Stop using the computer, turn it off. Take it to a computer shop so they can use recovery software to get whatever is left.. If your data you lost is important there is no simple way to get it back. Software recovery is never 100% @yohannes61 what type of files? It is possible that they got overwritten when you performed the factory reset....

I can turn the laptop on, login, use it, and open disk utility, and it shows up.The issue is that I want to wipe this device and reinstall MacOS. I’ve logged out of all accounts, reset nvram, and booted into Internet recovery mode, and that’s when I run into an issue. Disk utility while in recovery mode no longer shows my 500gb OWC drive....

Chosen Solution I have had a couple of devices lately where I complete a screen replacement and afterwards the home button will not wake the screen. It results in having to wake the screen using the power button. After the screen is active the home button works as normal. Does anyone have any ideas what this may be? Chosen Solution The battery health on my iPhone 7 was at 79% and was reporting it needed service. I just replaced the battery with the iFixit battery kit. Great lil kit, includes everything you need. Replacement went well, no problems (other than it being harder to open than the video showed). After reassembly the iPhone started up fine but under settings->battery->battery health it reported it ‘could not detect the device and provide battery health’ (or something similar)....

I bought the iPhone 6 in hopes of fixing it, the owner told me that it only shut down and it was not responsive with no back story of the phone, at first the phone didn’t showed any signs of life neither on the charger, I tried the button combos but nothing happens, when I got it open, there where a complete mess, lots of dust, mising screws, but nothing so much critical, I replaced the battery and tried turning it on, nothing happened, I inplugged display connectors and battery connector, plugged it again with attention to make it sit well, still nothing....
Chosen Solution So my 64GB iPhone 5 didn’t want to charge so I replaced the dock connector. My phone was on the whole time because I have no way to turn it off. None of the buttons worked. Anyways while I was doing it the video told me to disconnect the battery. I did and then my screen shut off. I reconnected it and tried turning it on. Nothing. Tried Wall adapter, iTunes, hard reset, cleaning port, reconnecting it, charged it all night, tried a new battery and none of them worked :( Did I just ruin my phone from disconnecting the battery while it is on?...
Chosen Solution Hello there I have an iPhone X which it was in pool water for about 20 minutes. When recovered the phone was fuctioning properly until it reached 0%. After that the phone won’t charge or power on at all. Chosen Solution Now I know I fried something under my flywheel had a lot of smoke.I tryed to rewire it and guess I failed at doing so. @crazyrobb all you should have under there is the magneto, voltage regulator and the wire assembly. we really would need to see more to determine the next best course of action. Post plenty of pictures of what you rewired and where the smoke is coming from etc....
Chosen Solution I bumped my MacBook Pro against my iPhone 6 plus by accident, and apparently the Mac won the fight. You can easily see the scratch with the screen off. I have no issues with the phone so likely will not be upgrading it unless I found a really good deal on the 6s Plus for the wife and I down the line. Is this something that I can tape off just the scratch area, and use a polish to lessen the rough angles of the scratch?...
