Chosen Solution greetings my mid-2015 15" macbook pro had become pretty slow and was running quite hot, and the battery was long-overdue for replacement. so i ordered some thermal paste and a fresh battery from ifixit - and spent half a day cleaning out the dust and scraping the old battery off the case and redoing the thermals. i was very careful and everything seemed to go fine, but when i booted it up, the fans kicked in immediately and kernel-task was consistently sucking up 500% of the CPU....

Chosen Solution Have installed two different new batteries in an Iphone XR. Plug the charger back in and it just sits in a boot loop. I see various current draw from the volt/amp meter that I have the USB plugged into so I know it’s trying something. But it’s just stuck in a boot loop. I left the new batteries to charge for multiple hours and nothing. If I plug the original battery in everything is fine....

Chosen Solution I ordered a replacement power supply from iFixit for my early 2010 Mac Mini (a1347), and installed it. I also replaced the BR2032 battery. It is still not booting. Chosen Solution Whirlpool refrigerator model wrs588fihz00 purchased on 8/5/2020 not dispensing ice consistently . The flap is opening but more often than not, no ice will come out. The ice in the ice bin is not clumped up, how ever sometimes I can move the ice around in the bin and it works a few times. 5 minutes later, it wont dispense any. Chosen Solution Going to bite the bullet and replace HD on some 21.5 iMacs that require cutting the foam seal and then taping the display back in. Traditionally, either you cut your own double-sided tape or buy pre-cut adhesive. I was wondering if anyone has ever simply taped the Mac back together on the OUTSIDE using black gaffer’s tape, rather than spend so much time scraping off the old adhesive on the inside....

Chosen Solution Hello, I recently changed the back of my iPhone 5C and replaced the digitizer, but now the screen doesn’t fit on the left side, I tried to push it but it wont. When I remove battery it does fit, but with battery is about 2 mm up It could be a manufacturing defect with the back as these are more than likely all aftermarket backs. I highly doubt it’s fully original unless it’s pulled from a new 5c....

Chosen Solution i have a iPhone 5S and with the original screen i had problems typing because when i press the letter N on the keyboard it just says i typed M. Then later on thr screen got worse that it randomly freaks out and calls people and sends messages like “Meet me immmmmm bmmmdmdmd” so i had enough and i ordered a screen replacement and switched out the screen and as soon as i was going to set up my phone with my I cloud (i even restored the phone) the n letter doesn’t work....

Chosen Solution So I have this iPhone 6 with no backlight..connects to iTunes and all that good stuff but no backlight at all (display or backlight…just pure darkness). Upon inspecting the diode and coil looked horrible but filters looked great as well as lcd connector. I’ve checked all 3 filters and all have correct resistance. 3 main smoothing caps were shorted but fixed that, as well as small cap between diode and coil was shorted…thats fixed as well....

Chosen Solution I Recently repaired an iPhone 7 screen (have been for many months now) however this time when I was replacing the screen, the home button stopped working. This is very unusual as it is saying that the home button and Touch ID is still able to work but it doesn’t. I had to use 2 screens to complete the task. The first one had a bend in one of the side clamps to clip the screen in to the body so it wouldn’t fit in the phone nicely....

Chosen Solution I got a IPhone 6 here that does not want to turn on. I can confirm the battery is still good because when I move the battery over to another IPhone it starts right up. Battery does have juice in it, it is not dead. The LCD is bad however but it should still turn on. I don’t think it’s black-light damage because the phone should turn on if it was....

Chosen Solution Okay so, I found out specifically that on one of my controllers the haptic feedback and sound is not working. The reason why is because there is a thin ribbon cable that tends to brake inside the controller, as seen here that causes the feedback and sound to not work. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could purchase a replacement trackpad. Please and Thank you. Also apparently the steam controller uses a near identical track pad if you can buy a donor steam controller cheaper then a donor vive wand give that a try....

Chosen Solution I hit my autio jack last night and now it is coming out of the speakers all the time, is there any way for me to fix this unit to get it back and working again? If you go to the speakers icon on the lower right side of your computer screen can you choose which device you want audio to come out?

Chosen Solution I got a new phone screen and replayed it just fine. The only problem was the camera sent with the screen doesn’t work. I tried everything; the camera sent was defective You can transfer the OEM camera from the old screen to your new screen. This is “best practice” anyway since the OEM small parts tend to be better than the ones that come pre-installed in the screen. The iFixit guide should show instructions for transferring your front camera to the new screen....

I tested it and when trying to set up Face ID, when you move your face into the camera, it says Face ID is unavailable.
