Chosen Solution I had a customer bring me an iPad 5 that doesn’t charge. I managed to get it to charge at 1amp sometimes but most times it charges at 0amps… I checked vchargr and it was showing 4.2volts.. I changed Tristar and now the line shows 5 volt and I also changed charge flex and that didn’t do anything either…. So I tested vbatt on battery connector while plugged in and it shows 1....
Chosen Solution Hello, I have an iPad that we recently replaced the screen on, and then noticed that the home button wasn’t working. When we finally replaced that, it began boot-looping endlessly. Does anybody have a fix for this? EDIT: I forgot to mention that as of now, we have tried a hard reset, and are now currently letting it completely drain and then trying to plug it in and boot it....
Chosen Solution Hi Earlier this week I tried to sync my iPhone up to a new laptop. iTunes told me it would wipe the data on the phone and sync the new stuff over but then said that there wasn’t enough space on the phone to sync, so I decided to restore it and then re sync. There was clearly some issue as it was restoring as it is now stuck permanently on the ‘connect to iTunes’ screen....

Chosen Solution Does anyone know where in the UK or oversea, i can get my iphone 6 power management ic chip replaced. Iphone sustain water damage， sent it to a repair shop in nottingham but was then told that “No short but gets stuck turning on. Possible PMU issue” . I tried sending another of my water damage iPhones to “technology repair” with the same “power management ic chip issue” but haven’t got it back yet , ( it has been over 3 weeks ) don’t hold out much hope of getting that one back or fixed as well , there are some charlatans out there....
Chosen Solution Customer came in with no power to iPhone 6. swapped 3 batteries, charging ports. Tested them they work on my tester device. No response when plugged into iTunes. Literally just no life to it. Replaced screen as well,Any suggestions? This sounds like a classic case of board damage. I would suggest sending it out to a board repair service or a replacement phone.
Chosen Solution I dropped my phone today, and cracked the screen. I can just order a new screen online. I also noticed that my headphone jack stopped working. After taking a look inside, it was really dirty, and I pulled a crap ton of dust out of it. Now my earbuds satisfyingly insert into the jack again, but the port still doesn’t work. I tried the earbuds in other things and they worked fine too....
Chosen Solution I dropped my iPhone and it has a black screen, doesn’t make any sound, doesn’t vibrate when plugged into the charger. But when i plug it into iTunes it recognizes my phone and it shows that my phone can still charge. DO you guys thin my screen and digitizer is broken or my logic board. Like when i plus it into my computer, my computer makes a sound instead of the iphone, and when i hold power and home when plugged into the comp for 10 sec, it makes another sound....
Chosen Solution Hello, I just recently replaced my iPhone 5 screen and after doing so the screen did not turn on. I took it into a very dark room and saw that the backlight was still working but nothing seemed to show up on the screen. I have read a few things about it and saw two possible issues that could be happening with it. The first thing I read was too unplug the battery while you replace it so there is no power running through the device to protect against any shorting out of the screen....
Chosen Solution Hi… I have an iPod classic 160-gb (A1238). I replaced the screen, front housing, hard drive, ribbon for the hard drive, audio cable, and battery. The battery is a generic brand and I purchased it from the seller “batterygalaxy” on eBay. I noticed as soon as I turned my iPod on, it displayed the Apple logo. I got the USB cable and plugged it into the computer. The screen changed to “Charging, please wait…” and it wouldn’t go away after giving it thirty minutes to charge....
Chosen Solution My daughter ran over her iPad Mini. It will not cut off, the screen looks fried but it’s not cracked. The alarm clock still works and I can still tap it to snooze. The iPad is bent on one side, but looks perfectly normal elsewhere – I was using an otter for protection; however the top of the otter was not on when it was run over – just the back....
Chosen Solution When I close the lid of my screen and re-open it: the backlight is off but I can still see the LCD image. If I close the lid a few times and reopen I will then be able to see the screen with backlight on (normal). So initially I was like ok great, probably the inverter cable getting pinched in the hinge. But then when the backlight is off and I navigate to the apple symbol and click sleep and wait a second and then press spacebar (or any key) the screen wakes to normal (from no backlight)....
Chosen Solution Do you sell a logic board replacement? Sadly IFIXIT does not have any replacement logic boards currently. MacBook Pro 15" Retina (2017) 2.8 GHz Logic Board, Radeon Pro 555, with Paired Touch ID Sensor Frankly, I doubt you’ll find a 1 TB or 2 TB replacement board as it would be so expensive. If I was you, I would just get a newer 2018 model with the bigger storage or just look for a used working system (very few where sold with these bigger drives)....

Chosen Solution The usb port 2.0 type B female connector used to power the midi keyboard broke off the PCB Board. i soldered a new connector onto the pcb board. When i try to power on my Midi keyboard now I get the message . The problem is not the usb ports on my MacBook. When i plug in other usb devices they work. Not sure what the problem is? Chosen Solution Why it shut down when I unplugged I need more context to answer you question. how much was the battery percentage? have you replaced the battery, as its around 12-13 years old and is definitely due for a battery replacement. how long where you using it as you may have overworked it and you unplugged it and it was seconds from dying and did so. it also could have a battery issues, which need to be dealt with ASAP....

Go to settings, then sound and vibration, then Notification sounds, next go to default notification sound, pick the sound you want. Then go back by pressing arrow in top left. Now go to message notifications. turn on if off next press message notification and pick either the top option (default sound) or pick the same sound you picked in the notification sound settings....

With water damage, you have to decontaminate the logic board before doing anything else, otherwise there will be latent issues down the road. Sometimes water damaged phones will work for a short time before failing completely....
