Chosen Solution My HDMI port broke due to being yanked at by our dog tripping on an ethernet cable that was poorly placed and i was looking at having it fixed and I was wondering if i could get away with just fixing the port. You can replace just the port if you have some soldering skills, it is something I have done many times myself, but it can be risky as if you try to remove the port before all of the solder is melted, you may cause further damage to the motherboard....

I then want to be able to boot it up from a MacBook 13” late 2006. I know the install CDs are very picky about the machine they install onto but is this possible? Chosen Solution when you open the part where you put your film, you can see a silver thing in the right lower corner. It’s the thing that pushes your picture up. My picture got stuck and I pulled it out but now the silver thing is still up and I can’t move it. I don’t want to break my instax 8 so I don’t want to pull to hard. Now I also can’t put any new film roll in it because the silver thing won’t move down....

Chosen Solution After replacing the LCD/digitizer on my iPad Air 2, the touch sensitivity has been really off. While I’m typing, I’ll press any key once and it’ll enter it 1-5 times. While I’m scrolling through websites, it won’t always recognize the speed I’m scrolling and will “click” on random links I’m trying to scroll over. Note: I don’t have the glass and iPad adhered back together yet. I have all the ribbons and shields in place but the adhesive is still covered....

Chosen Solution Helo, I was cleaning my iphone with alcohol, then i found that alcohol had entered to my screen (i think between the glass and the screen). I turned my phone off and after 12 hours i turned it on again, I found that there is a little small drop remaining! Please can you help me to remove them? Best Regard. you can try to heat the screen up a little bit to evaporate the alcohol but not too much as you might damage the lcd....

Chosen Solution I replaced a charging port on iphone 8plus. Was very careful when taking everything apart, put everything back together and tested the charging port,and it was fine. Charging port worked. Started testing the screen and when I pressed home, it made this crazy beep sound and would sometimes restart itself afterwards. Some presses, the button doesnt make the noise, most presses it does. Some presses it makes the noise and then restarts immediately after....

Chosen Solution Is there a DIY repair for the glass back of the iPhone 12 Pro? I see parts being sold online but I do not see a repair guide on this website. There will likely be one in the future on iFixit, however it’s not really an easy process at the moment so not practical, especially for the DIY repairers. *EDIT: Just had a quick look and there is a guide that involves the laser machine hereI’m lucky enough to work with a $4000 laser machine that is used to laser off the adhesive between the glass and frame so it can be broken and chipped off slowly....

Chosen Solution I would like to find out if there is any way i can somehow test the individual components without another air 11 or replacing the parts, which are costly. Are there any points i can bridge between the keyboard and the logic board to get some sort of a response on the screen. I would like to do this to identify where the exact problem is. I am able to use the power button on the keyboard and everything else has been tested with the use of an external keyboard and mouse....

Chosen Solution Can anyone tell me how to remove interior trim from D pillar @jethro49er, Terry, Normally they have clips just like the others. I used a V-pry/ long screw driver and a flashlight to locate the clips from behind. Use the screw driver to apply pressure. It keeps the clips from breaking off. The 1st link to manual below may help, 2nd link is the different D piller trim you may be able to see the clips,etc....

Chosen Solution I replaced the screen on my watch, but the screen remains black and I don’t think the watch is turning on at all. I do not feel any haptics or anything like that. I don’t think the battery is damaged, but I suppose it is a possibility. The watch was smashed until the screen fell off. When that happened the watch was still turned on and I just let it die....

Chosen Solution hi. I have a panasonic tx55cx400b and after 2 3 min I switch on the display come off and I have just sound . The remote is working just for on/off. Any ideea? @dany29317 this sounds like a backlight issue. Once your display is black and you have sound, darken the room and shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen. Let us know if you can make out shapes, silhouettes etc....

Chosen Solution the unit is cooling properly but ice is building up around the compressor Hi @sandg , What is the model number of the refrigerator? It could be a number of things e.g. clogged condenser coils, faulty defrost system etc. You may have to relocate the contents of the refrigerator so that it can be turned off to allow the ice to melt so that once it has all melted away you can see where it starts to ice up when it is turned on again....
