Hey Everyone, I am getting a Mid 2010 A1342 Macbook tomorrow, and I stupidly went over the line in the description that stated that the keyboard does not in fact work at all. But everything else works just fine. I am assuming that the keyboard controller is on the logic board, and maybe damaged, however, easily the keyboard assembly could also be damaged as well. I would I go about figuring out if the keyboard assembly is fine and if I need a replacement? and if the Logic Board’s keyboard controller is fine? Any Answer is appreciated.
Rarely is this a bad logic board. The keyboard is part of the uppercase and the more likely point of failure: MacBook Unibody (A1342) Upper Case and here’s the guide MacBook Unibody Model A1342 Upper Case Replacement
